Contra Costa County DUI Patrols Targeting Weekend Fair

In conjunction with this weekend’s Contra Costa County Fair, East County law enforcement agencies will conduct a DUI saturation patrol in Antioch on Friday and Sunday nights.

There will be massive numbers of DUI patols in Contra Costa County during this fair! You have been warned.

As part of the countywide Avoid the 25 program, which targets impaired or intoxicated drivers, the event will include four patrol vehicles in search of DUIs, especially near the fairgrounds where thousands will gather. Antioch and Oakley police officers will work in conjunction with Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office deputies to keep the local roads safe for fair attendees, according to sheriff spokesman Jimmy Lee.

More California DUI news as it develops.
