Salinas Man Booked for California DUI

California Highway Patrolmen arrested a 21-year-old Mario Navarro-Ramirez for driving under the influence Saturday in Salinas.

The sheriff’s office was advised of an injury accident on Castroville Boulevard near Manzanita Regional Park, located at 17100 Castroville Blvd., shortly before 7 p.m.

A sheriff’s helicopter arrived near the park and saw that a gray pickup truck was heading west on Castroville Boulevard.

Police said Ramirez went less than a mile before stopping and being booked for a California DUI.
